Saturday, September 28, 2013 - California Science Center, Los Angeles

Spent the day at the California Science Center. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Admission is free. To see the space shuttle, Endeavor, is $2/person. You can buy the tickets online. It's $4/person if you buy it at the museum because they charge an extra $2 to print the ticket. Parking is $10 or you can park at the Natural History Museum for $8 and just walk a little more. Both museum's are right next to each other. You can also save on parking by taking the Metro. Take the Metro Expo Line and exit USC/Expo Park.

Great place to take the kiddos.

Morning run to Frances Bakery and Coffee for a faux-cronut.

Outside the bakery. Doors open at 8 a.m. They said they had a large order this morning so they had me come back at 9:30 a.m.

 A chocolate and plain "cronut".

Sunday, September 15, 2013 - Daikokuya, Los Angeles

Farmer's market. The peanuts are a seller.

Headed over to Torrance for the Ramen Yokocho Fest. Got there around 10 a.m. when it was suppose to open. Saw the crazy line to get in and decided it wasn't worth the wait. Left and drove to Little Tokyo for Daikokuya right in time for them to open their doors at 11 a.m.

 Outside Daikokuya.

Inside Daikokuya. Cash only.

 Tsukemen.

Temporarily satisfied my ramen crave after having been watching "The Mind of a Chef" with David Chang.
