Thursday, October 3, 2013 - Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant, Los Angeles

Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant, established June 17, 1947, known for it's pastrami sandwich. And it's pretty damn good. Located on the corner of 7th and Alvarado in Los Angeles, just west of Downtown. Surrounded by Latino stores, it doesn't belong. Parking is about a block away on 7th and Westlake where you see Mercedes and BMW's and men in business suits walking towards Langer's, passing by stores blaring music in Spanish and taco trucks just across the street. Parking is free for 90 minutes with validation.

 Left is the #19 - Pastrami, swiss cheese, cole slaw, Russian style dressing on rye bread. 
Right is the #2 - Corned beef, tomato, Russian style dressing on rye bread.

The sandwiches are a bit pricey - about $15 for one. But the portions are big. The rye bread is soft with a crispy crust. Both delicious.
