¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! On Olvera Street, Los Angeles.

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). However, the French ended up winning the war and ruled for 3 years before they were finally expelled by the Mexicans with the help of the U.S.
