Spain/Portugal - Day 10 (Saturday, March 12, 2016: Seville - Gibraltar - Granada)

Seville:

 Coffee and torrija at Confitería La Campana. Torrija is sliced bread dipped in milk or honey and wine with spices and then dipped in egg, and then fried in a pan with olive oil. It is a typical dessert during Lent or Holy Week in Spain. Seville, Spain.

Gibraltar:

The drive from Seville, Spain, to Gibraltar, British Overseas Territory, is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes (200 km or 125 miles).

We walked across the border from Spain into Gibraltar and then bought a round-trip ticket for the bus to get into town. From there it is a short walk to get to the cable car which takes you up to the Rock. Gibraltar, British Overseas Territory.

The Rock of Gibraltar is a monolithic limestone promontory about 426 meters or 1,398 feet high.

Granada:

From Gibraltar to Granada, Spain, is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes (254 km or 158 miles).

Checked into our hotel in Granada and then went to pick up our tickets I bought on Ticketmaster for the Alhambra the next day before heading to dinner. There are two places you can go to collect the tickets, the Alhambra Box office or the Alhambra Bookstore. We bought tickets to enter the Nasrid Palace at 1:30 p.m.

 Dinner at Jardines de Zoraya. Croquettes, oxtail, and boneless lamb roast. Granada, Spain.
