East Coast/Canada - Day 4 (Saturday, August 20, 2016: New York City to Boston)

Took the subway back to JFK airport to pick up our car rental. Had brunch at Okonomi, which serves ichiju sansai, a traditional Japanese-style set meal. Then made the drive to Boston from NYC. Had dinner at Island Creek Oyster Bar. Stayed the night at Courtyard by Marriott Woburn Boston North.

NYC to Boston: approximately 215 miles, 3 hours 45 minutes

Ichiju sansai at Okonomi. It consists of seven-grain rice served with miso soup, roasted fish, vegetables, and an egg. Ichiju sansai translates to "one soup, three dishes". This expresses the daily meals of Japanese people and represents a health and well-balanced diet. There is no menu here, but you can choose how you would like your fish prepared: shio yaki (salt-roasted), saikyo miso (sweet miso), sake kasu (sake lees), and kombu jime (dry kelp cured). Okonomi, Brooklyn, NY.
